Neassa has her new car thanks to this fundraising effort.
Massive thanks to everybody who helped to make this dream a reality for Neassa.

In life some people get a better deal than others. This is Neassa Sugrue, mother of two and sufferer of Rheumatoid Arthritis from the age of twelve. Neassa did not get a good deal!

The car that Neassa currently has is totally unsuitable for her situation, she needs a specially adapted car which will transform her life.

Because of her illness, it is a mammoth 11 minute struggle for Neassa to enter her car. She has to complete this painful and exhausting task between 6 to 8 times per day.

Neassa recently transferred to a powered wheelchair because of her deteriorating condition, which because of its height, weight and bulk, cannot be easily accommodated in her current hand-controls adapted car.

Neassa deserves a better deal!

A taller car with assisted access would allow her to use her new wheelchair as a direct substitute for the driver's seat, increasing convenience, capability and control. It would also conserve her precious energy, reduce fatigue and greatly increase her quality of life, and that of her children.

The cost of the second hand adapted car is Euro 27,000 after available state support.

Bray Lions Club endorses this cause and all funds raised will be applied, without deduction, to Operation Neassa.
