In the very early hours of 2nd July '09, Bray Lions Club members welcomed 13 children and their teacher from Mozyr, Belarus to Bray. This is the 14th consecutive year the the club has participated in this project with the school in Mozyr.

The children, who range in age from 7 - 16 years of age spend 3 weeks in Bray with host families. This period of fresh air, good food and relaxation gives them a chance to recuperate from the contaminated conditions in Mozyr, which is very close to the Chernobyl site.

Over the course of their holiday, many activities are laid on for the children. Many thanks to all the businesses who sponsored events for the children, and our most sincere thanks to the host families for the love and care that they showed for our visitors during their time in Ireland !
