What We Do
Darkness Into Light
Bray Lions Club are very proud to help promote and marshall the 5km Walk/Run. The event takes place each year in May, usually on a Saturday morning starting at 4.15am. It starts in the darkness hours of the night-time and finishes as day breaks. It is in aid of Pieta House, Suicide and Self Harm Crisis Centre.
What started in 2009 as a small event featuring 400 participants in the Phoenix Park in Dublin, Darkness Into Light has grown be a symbol of hope and a celebration of life, the event is now celebrated in 80 venues in Ireland and much further afield, with nearly 200,000 participants in 2018.
