Darkness Into Light
Bray Lions Club are very proud to help promote and marshall the 5km Walk/Run. The 2015 event takes place on Saturday 9th May (the night of Friday 8th May) at 4.15am. It starts in the darkness hours of the night-time and finishes as day breaks. It is in aid of Pieta House, Suicide and Self Harm Crisis Centre, and this year's event will mark the 7th year of this growing phenomenon
What started in 2009 as a small event featuring 400 participants in the Phoenix Park in Dublin, Darkness Into Light has grown be a symbol of hope and a celebration of life, the event is now celebrated in 80 venues in Ireland and much further afield, with nearly 80,000 participants in 2014.
